Cork rings must be reamed to fit with a large round file or a reamer. Ideally every cork cylinder fits neatly just before the definite application onto the blank. Bonding can best be done with construction glue, or if the fit is perfect with waterproof white wood glue. Best to roughen the blank with a coarse grit sanding paper. The handle can be sanded manually or by using a lathe. Start with a rather coarse grain k 120/150 and finish off with k 320/360
