RV Collars 18

 RodVisions stainless steel collars for Alps NPS 18 or fuji DNPS 18. Most suited for fresh water. Used on salt water some discolouring is likely. This can be prevented by polishing the collars before assembling.

Assembly tips

- dimensions of the collars are inner diameter - i.d. - some clearance between collar and blank is necessary
- determine accurately the location of the reel seat on the blank
- measure the diameter of the blank in the place of the two collars - round off to above
- you may need two sizes due to the taper in the blank - slide the first collar on and fix temporarily with tape
- fill out the seat and assemble as usual - glue the collars in and secure with tape
- the necessary space between collar and blank is filled by thread and epoxy finish
